Hey friends! Took a few days off posting on my blog here as I’ve been hard at work on launching something else.
If you’ve been around for a little while, you may know about my podcast, which I’ve been doing for a few years now because, to put it simply, talking to people is pretty much my favorite pastime.
Over the past three years of 30 Something I’ve done some awesome interviews that have focused on motherhood, self-care and second chapters—aka reinventions. I’m still passionate about all of those topics, but my new show is a little different, and much broader in scope. And I have been waiting to tell you all about it! The new name of the show is…
This phrase is something that I always find myself saying when I want to dive in deeper on a topic with friends or family, or even people I’m interviewing, so I thought it would be the perfect new name for my podcast as I will continue to sit down and go deep with my guests on all sorts of interesting topics.
We Gotta Talk is more than just a phrase. It’s about sitting down and really getting into it, no holds barred. It’s about getting comfortable being uncomfortable. It’s about real talk on big topics—life-changing things, sometimes; other times, things that might matter in the moment—but the one common denominator is that on my new show, we are going to be doing deep dives on all these things together. Learning, laughing, de-mystifying… you get it.
It’s about sitting down and really getting into it, no holds barred. It’s about getting comfortable being uncomfortable. It’s about real talk on big topics.
And guess what? It’s also a LIVE show! Yes, as in, on camera!
That means you can watch as we record every week live from your computer! Aaah! I can’t wait. I’ve been off camera for a while since leaving TV news so this feels like a natural transition to go back to an environment I’m so comfortable with—actually seeing my guests in person, and having you see them too as we chat.
If listening is more your thing, new episodes will drop every Thursday. Search “We Gotta Talk with Sonni” on your podcast provider, and subscribe! And if you’re already subscribed to 30 Something with Sonni, no need to do anything; it’ll automatically switch over.
I’m so, so excited for this, guys. It’s been a long six months of branding, designing, building up a little team to help me get my vision onto the screen, writing, booking, planning and more, and now it’s HERE!
So let’s do this! Here’s to Real Talk on Big Topics… and learning any and every new thing we can, together.
