The sweaters are more of a hope for cooler temperatures at this point, but I know when October hits I’ll be glad to have a few pieces ready to go!
If you’re also ready to welcome in the (almost) new season, I put together eight pieces that can easily be mixed and matched to get you ready for fall.
This cream cardigan is from Abercrombie and is only $70 and has such goregeous detail. I’d layer this under a gorgeous dark brown blazer and wear it with flats and an awesome belt, or alone.
Flats are the only way for me these days. I grabbed up this woven leather pair from Loeffler Randall to wear for days when sneakers won’t cut it, but heels aren’t an option either.
I have an obsession with leather jackets, full stop. And these days, the more oversized and cool kid, the better. This distressed-leather one in dark brown from Quince is somehow only $250.
The color of these barrel leg jeans from Levi’s screams fall, and these would be so cute paired with a cream sweater, boots, and a slouchy bag. (This slouchy leather shoulder bag from Quince is my running favorite; I own it too!)
You’re going to see front-pocket denim everywhere this fall, and this pair from Citizens of Humanity is, in my opinion, the perfect grown-up take on this trend.
A Mongolian cashmere tee for under $45!!! Quince does it again!
This alpaca-blend sweater is such a statement piece. I’d wear it with my favorite denim or a pencil skirt to dress it up.
I mentioned this Madewell suede crossbody in my Labor Day Sales post, and I’m still loving it. The button detail elevates it just enough to work with casual or dressier outfits. Under $200!
