Ha!
Did I lose you at clogged ducts, or crazy birth stories where certain husbands (generic description used to protect those who don’t want to be identified, WINK WINK) nearly pass out as you’re about to push? Or maybe we can talk about the fairy tale that is called Nap Time. (Just trust me when I say this magical place doesn’t exist for every mom, and those of us with dark caverns of circles under our eyes are proof of that.)
Soooo… yeah. Motherhood! So super easy that everyone’s doing it! *winks, gives thumbs up, passes out cold from exhaustion on the floor*
Okay, kidding. You guys know that as much as I like to tell you all the stories about the craziness that is motherhood, I also like to share all sorts of good stuff too, (which obviously happens in abundance).
I’m putting up today’s post in the interest of sharing more motherhood realness, except this time it doesn’t involve any stories about blood, gore or painful nipples. YAY FOR PROGRESS!
So today’s not-so-glamorous-but-Imma-shoot-you-straight topic? Drumroll… Postpartum hair loss!
Okay, so in the interest of complete transparency, I can’t say I experienced any serious hair loss after the birth of any of my three kids. By that I mean that the overall thickness of my hair stayed the same. I did, however, notice periods of time where more hair would come out when I combed through it in the shower. So something was clearly going on. But the evidence that makes it more apparent that the fluctuating hormones have gotten to me (and my hairline) is The Halo.
You know The Halo. It’s that line of regrowth around the hair line that indicates maybe your whacked-out hormones are ready to start behaving like normal again, and they start with allowing your hair to grow back in places you didn’t even realize it was missing.

When I start to notice this regrowth, I like to switch to a few products that promote overall scalp health, to encourage as much healthy growth as possible.
Here are my favorite hair growth products that are great not only for those post-baby days, but also for regular times as well!
Enjoy!
