Of all the things I’ve gained from motherhood, the one thing I’ve lost the most of is time.

Aaah, the good old days when I would wake up, eat breakfast within 2 hours of rolling out of bed, brush my teeth and drink a hot cup of tea, all while NOT watching Nick Jr. Oh, Days of Ease, where have ye gone?

I’ve done VIP Beauty Product posts on this blog before, and when I have time to stand still in front of a mirror for more than 1.5 minutes, those are the ones I turn to. But for my daily, trying-not-to-offend-the-mailman, just-need-to-appear-presentable look? These are the guys.

And yes, the title of this post is based on the very spot where I apply these products any given weekday—the red light leading out of our neighborhood onto the main road.

IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream

I use this creamy, physical-SPF-only cream in Light. It truly is skincare and makeup–so soothing going on, and my skin looks great after I remove it, too. Unlike many other tinted moisturizers or ABC creams I’ve used in the past, it hasn’t broken me out once, and has a natural finish with moderate coverage that is perfect for weekday errand running and kid wrangling. I apply with their Heavenly Luxe Complexion Perfection Brush #7, one of my all-time VIP favorites.

Trish McEvoy Light & Lift Face Color Duo

This has sparkle in it, which I don’t like when I’m on camera, but for daily wear, the extra sparkle really peps up your face. I dip their #85 Ultimate Face Enhancer Kabuki Brush on the light side first, then the dark, then brush along the top of my forehead, below my cheekbones, and under my chin line for a great daily “non-touring” look.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara

After curling with my Surratt beauty eyelash curler, I apply this mascara, and then line with Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eye Pencil in Hunter, on my lower waterline only.
