I stumbled upon Buru as an ad on Instagram and have loved checking out their stuff since then.
I finally pulled the trigger on a whole haul of clothing recently when I needed outfits for some upcoming events, and I was so impressed by the quality and fit, I had to dedicate a whole post to it.
Since the line was designed with the modern mom in mind, the clothes tick a lot of boxes that–to me and I’m sure to many of you–are nonnegotiable.
I love a site that makes it easy to be on-trend without feeling like you’re trying too hard. And all of Buru’s clothes fit the bill of stylish, but also super simple to wear.
And just so you know, this post is not sponsored or in any way affiliated with the brand; I’m just that obsessed with it that I had to share!
This dress is perfect for church on Sunday or a baby or wedding shower. There’s nothing like one-stop shop dressing. When I’m trying to get out the door I love to be able to grab a dress and just go.
Unfortunately this one is sold out–sorry, guys!–but this one and this one (love this champagne color) are similar. In fact, pretty sure I”m going to grab up that second one stat.
As a bonus, it’s super soft, majorly comfortable and doesn’t wrinkle. I sat through an entire hour-long church service with a two-year-old crawling all over (and over and over) me, and the pew. And it looked as good as new post- me being an actual human obstacle course.
These two pieces–the Mom Crop Top and the Everyday Pants, both in black–are in serious heavy rotation in my closet.
I’ve paired the top with denim shorts and it’s just as cute, and the pants would work with any crop top too!
Also, someone that lives in this house that is also an adult but is not me (cough cough) accidentally threw them into the dryer, and neither one shrank. GENIUS.
Seriously, if there is one thing you’re wanting to try from this line that you can dress up or down, this is it! The top is only $48 and the pants are $68, so a great price too!
While we’re at it, I have been wearing this headband nonstop since I bought it. But again–I’m sorry, promise this is the last time I’ll wait so long to post about something I love!–it’s sold out. But this black one, this gold one and this pink one are also super cute, so definitely check them out!
Gold Lamé Tiered Skirt and White Button Down “Vive La Mère” Shirt
Gold is bold, but when you pair it with a simpler shirt like this button-down, it makes it more appropriate for daytime. It has an elastic waistband and is super comfortable.
I put the look together with these color block wedge sneakers.
Penelope Pleated Blouse in Peach
A great blouse to dress up for work or a day out! I paired it with my favorite high-waisted cropped Mother Denim. And a Band Aid on my foot. Because mom life.
