This week’s episode of WGT was a deep dive into skin care gadgets I’ve been using lately that are actually worth your money.
Admittedly, I’ve not been much of a gadget girl in the past. My entire goal at night is to shower and get into my pajamas as quickly as possible after getting all the kids to bed, throw on my blue blockers, and catch a little Netflix with Andrew before dozing off.
But these devices have been worth the extra five minutes it takes to use them, so naturally, I had to share some details.
Full explanations on how to use them, the results I saw from using them, and details on discounts for the Droplette are all in the episode this week, so be sure to check that out too!
It’s magic! Think of this handheld skin care device as a magic wand that makes skin care ingredients actually do what they’re supposed to do.
It transforms powerful skincare ingredients into a mist small enough to actually penetrate your skin.
Some ingredient molecules are just too big to penetrate your dermis (I’m looking at you, collagen!), so Droplette steps in as the ultimate mediator. It breaks down these powerful ingredients—yes, including collagen—into molecules small enough to deeply penetrate your dermis, allowing for more noticeable results from your skin care.
I use the collagen capsules, and without question, it makes my skin look plumper and healthier. I wouldn’t say it makes my skin feel more moisturized, but I can absolutely see a glow and fullness that isn’t there when I don’t use this device.
Use this new scalp attachment that goes on this microneedling device to create tiny openings in your scalp skin that allow ingredients to penetrate more readily.
This is a product anyone with mild hair thinning should try. My “cul de sacs”—those patches of thinning hair at your temples—that appeared postpartum have decided to come back lately (I blame stress), and this is what I’ve been using to treat it.
Simply roll it for five seconds over each area, back and forth, then follow up with the serum and allow it to penetrate the skin. The serum is cool and refreshing and feels great going onto your scalp.
I’ve noticed regrowth of some tiny baby hairs since starting this about a month ago. Make sure to use nightly, or as close to nightly as you can, to see your best results.
Gratifying is the word that comes to mind when I talk about this device.
A sonic-powered metal spatula that literally de-gunks your pores, you will freak when you see what comes out of your face.
Lightly wet your skin after cleansing, pull your skin taut, and run this metal, slightly-bent spatula over your skin, and watch the magic happen. Yes, this thoroughly cleans my always-clogged cheek and chin pores, and no, I didn’t think it would work either. But it DOES.
I use this 2-3 times weekly at night after cleansing. Your skin may be a little red after use, but it should go right down, and then apply your products afterward.
What I notice when I use it is that my cheek pores are cleaned out, my skin is smoother, and overall it feels cleaner—like I just got a powerful facial.
