Sure, there are certain things I stick to: I prefer products without parabens; I prefer “cleaner” lines; and when it comes to sun protection, my skin reacts better to physical blockers like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide than chemical screens.
But otherwise, I’m always cycling through different products depending on my mood, my skin’s needs at the moment, and my desire to try new stuff. It’s one of my favorite simple pleasures–cracking open a new bottle of lotion and seeing what good things it can do for my skin.
All that being said, here are three items taking up space on my vanity lately that I’m loving!
I recently ran out of cotton pads and couldn’t apply my usual toner, so I grabbed this up since it’s a mist, and sprayed it on my hands and patted it on my skin in place of my toner. And I love it.
This formula has a touch of Vitamin C, which gives you antioxidant protection, and also gives the lightest layer of moisture that’s perfect for using right before applying your daily lotion or SPF. And it smells divine.
In short: Sohappy I ran out of cotton pads, because I am digging this mist/toner in a hugeway.

This is a flash mask that’s designed to be used 1-2 times per week to slough off all that dead skin that’s making your skin look dull. You apply it to clean, dry skin, leave it on for 20 minutes, and rinse it off to reveal skin that has a serious glow.
This formula has a blend of several types of acids–glycolic, tartaric, lactic, citric and salicylic–that work together to exfoliate your skin as it sits on it. Yes, there is a bit of a tingle, but it wears off within the first two minutes of application, and it’s so worth the result.
After 20 minutes, rinse it well and then add moisture, moisture and more moisture. Here’s what I do: I always apply the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Facial Oil right after using this, then layer on a thick moisturizer on top of that to lock it in.
And when I wake up, I am majorly glowing. And that’s saying something, given the fact that I’m still waking up 2-3 times per night with my Barnacle Baby.

This is a daily sunblock that can be used as a makeup primer, or on its own for a natural look that has sun protection. I wear this around on its own, and it can also layer well under foundation.
I also featured it in a recent post about SPF products that double as tinted moisturizer. It has a light tint that evens out your skin while still keeping it looking super natural. I find that it gives the perfect amount of coverage if you’re just running errands, or if you just prefer lighter coverage.
