Is there any better feeling in motherhood than knowing you’re not alone? I mean, honestly, this job can drive a girl nuts… It’s hard, it’s repetitive, 9 days out of 10 you’re covered in someone else’s poop or puke… But seriously–aside from the smell of baby heads, which may be the actual best thing in the universe–the Mom Tribe vibes you get when you meet a mom who shoots you straight on parenthood is just about as good as it gets.I’ve been following Closet Moms Orlando–named for the place where they gather to escape the chaos–on Instagram for a while now. Ashley and Stephany are my kinda gals. They’re straight shooters about motherhood; they don’t take themselves too seriously; and they’re all about sharing their own experiences in the name of helping other moms feel, well, normal. It’s always been my goal in this space to bring you people, products and stories that help you feel a little less alone, and sharing our journeys as parents often helps to accomplish that. So when I listened to the Closet Moms Orlando podcast, I knew that I had to bring these ladies on to talk straight-up #momshit–the good, the bad, and the poopy. And Ashley and Stephany don’t disappoint. Guys, this conversation got deep. They shared things about their experiences as moms that were raw and real. From traumatic birth experiences to therapy to the feeling of never quite belonging, we cover it alllll. I’m so, so grateful these ladies opened up, and of course we got some major laughs in, too. 😉
