Item 1: Moto Leggings or Leather Pants

This is one item that’s so easy to get on board with. I wholeheartedly agree with Jasmine that the one item I reach for consistently in my closet is a good pair of skinny black jeans or leggings, and these—which both have a little sheen due to the real or faux leather—have a little extra zhush to them. Perfect for dressing up, yet still totally appropriate when dressing down.

Item 2: Boyfriend Jeans

This was another one of Jasmine’s top picks, and I’m so excited that boyfriend jeans are back. The fit is more relaxed than the skinny jeans we’ve loaded our closets with lately, but that doesn’t mean they’re not just as chic.

Jasmine suggests pairing with a bodysuit or cute top and heels, and for more casual vibes a tee and sneakers!

A revelation! How did it not occur to me—whose closet is comprised of about 30% t-shirts—to get a t-shirt dress?! Jasmine suggested this and I ran to my computer to search for one. When I donate my next closet item and have space, this will fill it!

Item 5: Combat Boots

Sold. Sold sold and sold. When Jasmine held these up in the Live, the first thing I thought was, Yep.

Shoes aren’t my thing; I get by on my standbys of booties and simple black heels for about 90% of my outfits, but now I can see just how much I could wear these.

These are one of those items that would never have occurred to me to buy without prompting, but when she showed me how to wear them—with aforementioned t-shirt dress, or the jeans and a slouchy sweater—it immediately made sense. This is why we need to shop with friends sometimes; they open our eyes up to new possibilities!
