It’s hard to put into words what becoming a parent has done to my brain.
What worrying about someone else more than myself has done not only to my anxiety (oh the anxiety!), but also my ability to appreciate every single, small moment, in a way I never really did before.
I know you don’t have to have a child to understand how to pause, of course. But for me, that’s what did it.
So having a real day on the calendar to reflect on being thankful is great and all, but I think we’ve all seen enough craziness in our world to know that what it’s really about is finding little things to be thankful for every day.
Hoping you are finding lots of peace today. Even if you’re in a season of turmoil or difficulty, a prayer from me to you that you may find your anchor, your calm, and your moments of gratefulness.
