Friends! First things first: Merry, merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate this holiday. Also, Happy Kwanzaa, happy belated Hanukkah, and any other celebration that helps you mark this special time of year.
This past year has both flown, and dragged, by. I’m sure you’re on the same page.
We went through some family health problems this year (when I get the a-okay from those involved, I’m happy to share more specifics); I personally went through/am still going through a massive spiritual journey to find more peace and kick this anxiety to the curb; the kids have seen a blend of virtual and in-person schooling and have rocked every single day, even when I haven’t; and oh yes, I also did a massive rebrand and relaunch of this site, my podcast and talk show, and the overall brand.
Phew!
As we reflect on this past year, it’s my hope that we can take the collective and individual challenges we’ve faced, and use them to fuel our empathy and our strength for next year, and for, well, forever.
Wherever you are celebrating this holiday and new year, I want to first wish you strength. I wish you that transformative ability to take the pain you’ve felt, and use it to propel you forward. I send prayers and good vibes of strength to you and your loved ones. And I want you to know that there is always a place for you here—to share your thoughts, to soak in new information and knowledge, and to grow.
Thank you so much for checking in here. I’m so grateful for you. Here’s to the new year!
