At the tail end of winter, skin is often dry (yes, even in warm and sunny Florida!) and if your skin is anything like mine, it’s ready for some serious moisture.
That’s why this first product has been such a life saver for me. The Beautycounter Nourishing Rosewater Mist is like a drink of water for the skin–an incredible-smelling, infused-with-fresh-cut-roses-from-the-garden drink of water.
Always on the hunt for the next best physical sunblock, I picked up this gem recently when I was looking to try out a new formula.
I’ve been so impressed with its blendability, and the fact that it layers so well under makeup. Do know that if you are going to use this alone, if you’re anything other than fair-skinned, this will leave a slight (and I mean only slight) cast to your skin. Not Casper-like, but it will lighten you up a touch.
So if you’re going anywhere other than the school drop-off line, you may want to add a layer of tinted moisturizer on top. Otherwise, it’s good to go.
I often use this on its own, because let’s be honest, I’m not all that socially active during the week (hashtag mom life and shit), so this fits the bill perfectly for those days when I want great sun protection but also not to look too white.
There’s a reason Drunk Elephant gets tons of press; the line is good.
Based on the philosophy that ingredients in a skincare product should never agitate the delicate balance of the skin, Drunk Elephant’s entire line–while not organic–is free of any potentially irritating ingredient that the founder, Tiffany Masterson, identified as potentially dangerous.
I’ve been a fan for a while, and this eye cream is just as good as the other products from the line I’ve loved.
