Summer is almost here! Yes, it kind of already feels like it, because we are all home with the kids in the house. But alas, it’s not quite official. When the real-deal warm weather hits, I always get tons of wear out of a few pair of trusty jean shorts. This year I’ll bring them back out. And I’ve got my eye on a few other pairs as well.So for a little lighthearted diversion today, let’s talk about options that are cute while still allowing you to maintain your dignity if you lean over too far to buckle your kid into the car seat.
The Agolde Parker High-Rise Jean Short
The Agolde Parker High Rise jean short is the pair I reach for most consistently during the hot Florida months. High enough for support, short enough to be cute without hearkening back to spring break days. And they last. I wear mine multiple times weekly and beat the heck out of them, and they wash keep their shape so well.
Levi’s 501 Jean Shorts
I just got my first pair of Levi’s jean shorts and am so impressed. The denim is little heavier, and they’ve got that classic Levi’s stiffer feel, but they fit so well, hit in the right spots, and they’re also half the price of a lot of designer options. Must try.
Madewell High Waist Button Down Shorts
I’ve got my eye on this pair of jean shorts by Madewell–the buttons add a little something, and they’d look adorable with chic sandals with a button down and heels for a dressier moment.
Madewell High-Rise Mid-Length Jean Shorts
I love the look of these mid-length shorts by Madewell, too–office- and church-appropriate and totally chic.
Frame Le Tour Short in Altadena
Okay, now this is a chic look. I never thought about getting this wash of denim (these are by FRAME), but after seeing how it’s styled here, I’m sold.
