And just like we adjust our wardrobes for the fall and winter, I also like to change up the makeup shades I wear when the cooler weather hits.
It’s always so fun to experiment with purples for eyeshadow (it really brings out the green in eyes!), and the color liner that I think works best with those shades is brown.
That’s why I was so excited to try out Rodial’s Smokey Eye Pen in Brown with my new, favorite eyeshadow palette from Beautycounter. If I had to use one palette for the whole season, this would be it! The Ultimate Nudes Eyeshadow Palette has shimmery and matte shades in every color you could want–browns, purples, pinks, peach and gold, and even a matte black. It’s been so much fun experimenting with this palette to put together looks for both day and nighttime.
And for this look, I paired some of the palette’s purple shades with my new Rodial brown eyeliner pen for a night on the town, and couldn’t be happier with the results! Read below for what I used and how!
Use the Cashmere shade from this palette all over the eyelid.
Using a smaller, more compact brush, use Rich Bronze from the same palette in the crease and outer corner.
Swipe the Pink Champagne shade above the area where you just applied Rich Bronze (not quite on the brow bone but right below).
Swipe Eggshell right under the brow bone.
Use the Rodial Smokey Eye Pen in Brown to line your top and bottom lash line.
Follow with a lengthening mascara.

Anyone else switch up their makeup shades by season? I’d love to hear what you’re loving lately! Let me know in Comments below.
