This fall, I’m committed to elevating my wardrobe. I’ll always be a t-shirt-and-jeans girl at heart, but it’s time to level up with some good basics that also have some versatility. Enter my new purchase: the classic blue Oxford shirt. I grabbed this one from Quince that is somehow under $40, and I can’t say enough about the quality. All of their pieces I’ve tried have been incredible, both in fit and fabric!
Since I wore it for the first time earlier this week, I’ve been brainstorming new ways to combine it with other pieces. I put together five looks that are all built around this one staple item.
This is the simplest (but also my favorite) way to style this shirt: tucked into a great pair of relaxed, high-waisted jeans. Add a classic belt and gold statement earrings to elevate the whole look. (Use code SONNI15 for 15% off the earrings!) A pair of leather flats keeps it polished.

There’s something nostalgic about a sweater vest. I love the idea of throwing this cashmere one over the shirt for an unexpected twist. I’d pair it with some neutral or tan slacks (like these) and rock it with a burgundy kitten heel for a little pop of color.

The olive barrel leg pants at the center of this look are so cute. I’d do a loose French tuck on the shirt, add a simple brown belt, and finish it off with these New Balance sneakers.

If you’re into a blazer look, this oversized plaid one goes perfectly with the shirt, and I’d throw it on with jeans. Any tan blazer will do though, and this one is a little simpler but just as chic.

I’m loving these vintage cream flares. Right now they’re on sale for 40% off, which takes the price to just under $90. Layering the Oxford shirt under an open cardigan, like this taupe one, or letting the collar peek out from under this chocolate merino pullover, finishes off this outfit in a classically cool way.
