The hunt for an effective and pleasant-to-use natural deodorant is kind of like the hunt for a good guy.

Why did you and your sister start your brand?

Family plays a big role in the story of nfuse deodorant. Emily and I, sisters and nfuse co-founders, knew that we wanted to create products to deliver the healthy benefits of magnesium after a long, wine-filled lunch on a family vacation. My husband, who has worked with magnesium his whole career, was talking about the many powerful health benefits of this relatively unknown mineral and we were intrigued.At home, we started a deep dive into all things magnesium. We took magnesium supplements and started to feel better than we had in a long time, but oral supplements had downsides. We knew there had to be a better way to deliver the health benefits of magnesium.It was another family vacation to Ecuador that provided the light bulb moment. There, we learned that many in South America use milk of magnesia is used as a deodorant and that was it, we were off to the races. Once home, we started experimenting in Emily’s kitchen with a proprietary, concentrated blend of magnesium combined with safe, natural ingredients.With a family history of breast cancer (our mother and grandmother) and as mothers to teenage kids at home, it was critical to us that nfuse be not only completely safe, but also actually good for you.
