But at the same time, if I’m being honest, there are tons of things that I need to work on, including but not limited to my complete inability to arrive at school drop-off on time.
I’m working on that.
In the meantime, here are some of my other thoughts on what I’m going to focus on this year, and it all boils down to one thing.
No complicated resolutions, no pressure, just… facing forward. What does that look like?
I will not check other people’s progress, or compare myself to their wins and gains.
I will stay in my lane.
I will not compare my hustle to their highlight reel.
I will not do what others are doing simply because it worked for them.
I will respect the voice inside me that guides my daily work, my purpose.
I will hold myself accountable to the work that a dream demands, while also forgiving myself for the inevitable slip ups I will make and shortfalls I will encounter.
I will hold myself accountable to the work that a dream demands, while also forgiving myself for the inevitable slip ups I will make and shortfalls I will encounter.
I am going at just the right pace in life.
I am where I need to be to hear the whispers I need to hear from God.
I am accountable for the work I put into relationships, but not for other people’s reactions to it.
And when I fail on any or all of these points, I have the grace of a new day to start all over again.
