Sometimes I interview someone and they’ll say something so profound, it sticks with me for weeks and weeks (or longer!)
We were talking about his “superpower” of reading minds, which he described as simply the ability to tap into his intuition—a power, he noted, we all have.
I tend to agree with this, that most of our own answers already lie within us, and if we listen for long enough, we can tap into an innate wisdom. Intuition, I believe, is indeed a superpower we all have.
And then Michael said something that has stuck with me since:
I don’t know about you, but given the current state of world and political affairs, this affirmation that we all have the ability to make even a small impact deeply soothes me.
To know that we can all have a positive impact if we act in our highest and best selves? Well, that’s worth smiling over.
This also applies to anyone chasing their passions: Remember, your reach doesn’t have to be Oprah-worthy; you and your work matter on any scale. Remember—person-changing over world-changing.
I hope this one sticks with you and continues to inspire you just as it does me. Let’s go out and be superheroes together. 🙂
