Though I’ve had on mediums and astrologers and even a human design expert before, this episode was different because my guest, Meredyth Willits, also has experience as a past life regressionist. That means she helps people figure out what their energy was part of in a past life.
This topic is endlessly fascinating to me, and I honestly believe that it’s not difficult to reconcile the past life thing with most organized religions, where the majority of them have some component of a “forever soul” as part of their basic belief system. (I know as a Catholic, the idea that our souls live on is something we believe.)
Anyhow, I’m not out to convert anyone. away from their religion . I always have that worry when I post this type of content, as many people for some reason consider the concept of reincarnation anathema to religion; I disagree but that discussion is for another day. 😉
So without further explanation, here are…
I had to ask Meredyth; in her opinion, does everyone’s soul have a past? Here’s what she said:
“Everybody has a forever existence. So you have always existed, so but it might not be on this planet, you may have just always been up in source, you may have been on other planets or other realities.
We’ve always always been and you always always will be you cannot die. You can physically human die, but you will always exist.”
Oh man, this one was good. We got onto the topic of forgiveness because Meredyth says she believes each spirit who enters the human realm is given a task—essentially a role to play. So while some are given “good guy” parts, others inevitably end up being the “bad guys.”
Murderers, people who hurt others, etc. And she says those people are here to serve as a lesson of sorts for others—as difficult as their role might be, and as much hurt as they may cause.
So of course the first thing I ask when I hear that even serial killers are necessary in the spiritual ecosystem, my mind immediately goes to the victims. And not just victims of aforementioned true bad guys, i.e. killers, but victims of even smaller crimes of the soul—those who deliberately hurt others, who bully, who ruin and destroy.
Anyhow, she says that for those of us who are wronged, it’s part of our contract, or lesson, to learn forgiveness. And that no matter the level of slight we’ve been on the receiving end of, it’s essential for our soul’s journey.
“And I have gotten so much because I’ve done TikTok videos about like forgiving is for yourself to release that energy and people are like, I don’t need to forgive.hat’s not necessary to move on. And my response to you is this, if you have that response, you have not moved on.
So forgiveness is for the person forgiving it. My dad always said, you know, hating somebody is like taking poison and expecting the other guy to die, right. And so, forgiveness is to calm and relax your heart. It is not saying that what that person did was okay. It is definitely not saying that that person should be in your life, but it’s saying I’m not carrying this backpack any longer, I’m putting this backpack of bricks, and sadness and anger and fury and putting it down.
And and I saw what you did, and I know what you did, and you’re a broken human. And I think that when we stop putting humans on some like pedestal of perfection that they’re able to even remotely attain, we start to recognize that we’re all broken humans, most of us are doing our best.”
One of the questions an IG follower sent that I loved was, “When we dream of our loved ones who have crossed over, is that always a sign or message?”
Here’s what Meredyth says:
“I counsel people all the time who have lost someone … [if the dreams are] … fleeting, or …. you can see the loved one slowly, it’s each dream kind of moving away. That’s allowing you to process that grief. That’s allowing you to process that separation.
But when they come and you’re hanging out, and it’s fun, and you remember that forever and ever and ever, that is a visitation, they are coming to spend time with you, for some healing reason, they’re always coming to help and heal.”
Speaking with Meredyth was truly a joy. She’s one of those people who is filled with wisdom and God, or presence, being, or whatever you call it. It’s a must-listen if you’re in need of perspective and grounding!
