I don’t want to mess around with ten just okay versions of any clothing item, but it takes a while to build out a closet with quality pieces when they’re so expensive.

That’s where Italic comes in. Today I’m doing an honest review of this line and highlighting some items I’ve bought so far. Get ready for some details!

What Is Italic? Clothing Membership Review

Think of Italic as a buyer’s club for designer-level clothing, home and accessory items.

I’ve been a member since last summer and have bought five items total from them now. Today I’m reviewing three items, and I’m planning on doing another post of other items as I wear them!

How An Italic Clothing Membership Works

Italic is a member’s club, which means you have to “buy in,” in order to get the cheaper prices on their items.

The cost right now is $120 a year, and they claim that most people make up that cost in savings within their first order or two.

Italic Weekend Jogger Sweatpants Review

This is the item I am most obsessed with from the Italic line by far. This may be due to the fact that I’m in sweatpants 90% of the time when I’m home, but it’s also because the quality of the sweatpants from Italic is just that good.

I do truly live in these, but there’s one thing worth mentioning: Because of the thicker cotton, these have been hard for me to dress up. With some sweatpants you can get away with a little French tuck in the front and maybe a cute blazer and shoes, but these are true casual sweatpants.

That being said, they’re super comfortable and are in heavy rotation when I’m chilling at home or on the weekends.

Italic Upper Shearling Lined Slippers Review

I gifted these to my mom for Christmas but of course got my hands on them before handing them over. 🙂

The look of them is similar to the Ugg slipper, but the sole is noticeably lighter in this version. This could be a good or a bad thing, depending on your preferences. I didn’t always like the heavy feel of the sole on my old Ugg slippers, so the lightness of this version would be welcome to me.

The fur lining, which is made of double-sided shearling sheepskin, is super luxe—no sacrifices in that department!

The Ugg slippers are known to wear well, and I can’t yet vouch for how the fur here will wear over time, but at least to start, it’s thick and soft. Thumbs up.

Italic Aura High-Waisted Legging Review

This purchase was an overall winner. I was a little hesitant to buy leggings from anyone other than my favorite brands, Alo Yoga and Lululemon (long live the Align!), but this was a leap of faith that was so worth it.

I now own three pairs of these leggings, and they are at the top of my favorites list. I reach for them constantly.

The high-waist truly hugs your waist and curves, hits in the perfect spot and holds everything in place. You don’t feel like sausage in casing. They’re not buttery soft like the Lulu Align pant, but they’re soft and completely comfortable in every way.

There is one big downside to these, though, that I was super bummed to realize after about a month of wash and wear: They pill. I noticed the pilling especially on the light blue pair, which happened on top of the thigh area. I’m hoping they get enough feedback about this to address the issue with perhaps a new fabric blend or other fix.

Above is the Raw Edge Cashmere Crewneck, which has also held up well with several wears! It’s super soft and fits true to size. I’m wearing a Medium here.

Overall Thoughts: Is the Italic Clothing Membership Worth It?

In the quickest possible way to answer this, yes. The quality of the four items I’ve bought so far is great, and they’re constantly adding new items that I can’t wait to check out. (The beauty items in particular are about to debut, and they’re made by the same manufacturers that La Prairie, La Mer and Chanel use. Squee!)

Also, I’m comfortable that the items I get are quality, because they are using the same manufacturers as some luxury brands.
