It’s been a long five years of baking, birthing and nursing babies.
Don’t get me wrong; I am immensely, deeply grateful to have been able to carry my children, grow and nourish them and all that good stuff; but good God, do I ever need to feel like myself again. (And the spillover on the waistband of my jeans would second that.)
It’s probably why, this time around with the third baby, I’m making more of a point to wear “normal” clothes a whole lot sooner than I did with the first two.
Forget waiting until I’ve lost all the baby weight (still not close). Forget waiting to be my “perfect” size. Forget the trends. Forget all that. I need something simple, that will let me feel a little more like myself again, starting… now.
And if that means buying a couple pairs of jeans a few sizes bigger than normal, and wearing a normal (read: non-nursing) shirt that is a little looser and in a different style than I otherwise would wear, then that’s how I’m getting there.
Luckily, I found a super affordable shirt and incredibly comfortable (and equally affordable!) pair of jeans that fit the bill. While I won’t be walking a runway anytime soon, buying something that makes me feel a little more “me” feels… damn good.
And any mom out there knows how far that feeling goes.
Happy to share my finds with you!

It doesn’t get much more comfortable than this, and at $39.50, it doesn’t get much cheaper either. Has the perfect amount of “swing” to it when you walk too. 🙂
Stretch. Sucks in in all the right places. And $64. Need I say more?
No longer for sale, but these are similar.
Similar here!
These are old, but similar ones are here!
That’s it, til next time!

P.S. The most comfortable romper ever, and here are three awesome shirts that are also nursing-friendly.
P.P.S. I am obligated to say this. (Clears throat.) “I get commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post.”
