Hey guys! What a long and fun week it’s been! I hope all of you had the opportunity to spend some time with loved ones this week for the holiday.

You’ve probably noticed I talk a lot about being a new mom on this blog. The short reason for why this topic is so important to me—aside, of course, from the fact that, like most moms, I adore my kids—is that I am so passionate about being real about the experience of being a new mom, because it is HARD.

The holidays are synonymous with decadent food, and what’s more decadent than a delicious Christmas cookie, or maybe ten?

So often we put pressure on ourselves as mothers to do and be it all, often times all at once, and ultimately to our own detriment.

This past weekend I did something I haven’t done in over four years—traveled solo. No kids, no husband, just me (and Baby 3). It was strangely liberating and also… just kinda strange.

I have fielded about a dozen questions from well-meaning relatives this holiday season alone, all who have asked, “What should I get the kids for Christmas?”

I set the home pregnancy test stick on the bathroom counter, two pink lines staring up at me and my husband.

It’s come and gone again. The Second Most Wonderful Time of the Year is in the books for 2016. We had a very sweet (pun intended, wah wah) time trick or treating with our little Minions in our neighborhood this Halloween, and it was awesome to be able to take our time going house to house and listen to their happy little “Trick or treats!” at every stop.
